Christmas Tree Chipping Events

Give a gift to the environment this season! After the holidays, recycle your Christmas tree at one of the following events. Chipping is done by donation as listed below for each event, and trees must be bare, with no decorations or tinsel on them.

2nd Langley Scouts

Date:                   Saturday, January 7
Time:                   9:00am to 3:00pm
Location:             Buckley Park - 19680 48 Avenue  

Event also includes a bottle drive. Christmas trees and refundable beverage containers will be accepted for drop-off on site. Curbside Christmas tree pick-up service is available throughout Langley at a minimum donation of $15 per tree. Schedule pick-ups via email at tree@darkroast.ca by January 6.  

1st and 2nd Brookswood Scouts

Dates:                Saturday January 7, and Sunday January 8
Time:                  9:00am to 4:00pm (both days)
Location(s):        Brookswood Secondary - 20902 37A Avenue  or George Preston Recreation Centre - 20699 42 Avenue  

Christmas trees will be accepted for drop-off by donation at either location on Saturday and Sunday. Curbside Christmas tree pick-up service is available Saturday January 7 only, within a 15km radius of Brookswood Secondary at a minimum donation of $15 per tree. Schedule pick-ups via email at 2ndBrookswood@gmail.com.  

1st Willoughby Scouts

Dates:                 Saturday January 7, and Sunday January 8
Time:                   9:00am to 4:00pm (both days)
Location:             Willoughby Elementary - 20766 80 Avenue  

Event also includes a bottle drive. Christmas trees and refundable beverage containers will be accepted for drop-off on site. Curbside Christmas tree pick-up service is available for a minimum donation of $10 per tree in the Willoughby area (200 St to 216 St & Hwy1 to 66 Ave), and outside this area for $20. Please call Alisa at 604.617.3445 before January 6 to schedule a pick-up.  

10th Langley Scouts

Date:                   Saturday, January 7
Time:                   10:00am to 4:00pm        
Location:             Safeway parking lot, 20871 Fraser Highway  

Christmas trees will be accepted for drop-off onsite by donation.  

1st Walnut Grove Scout Group

Dates:                 Saturday January 7, and Sunday January 8
Time:                   9:30am to 4:30pm (both days)
Location:             Walnut Grove Secondary School; Front(East) parking lot – 8919 Walnut Grove Drive  

Curbside Christmas tree pick-up service is also available to Walnut Grove residents for a minimum donation of $10 per tree. Pick-up service is available for Fort Langley residents and Willoughby residents (north of 72 Ave) for a minimum donation of $15 per tree, and Willoughby Residents (south of 72 Ave) for a minimum donation of $20 per tree. Trees will only be picked up on January 7 and 8. Schedule pick-ups via email at treepickup@1stwalnutgrovescouts.ca, or call Brent Japp at 604.720.4805.    

Ride2Survive

Dates:                 Saturday January 7 and Sunday January 8
Time:                   9:00am to 4:00pm (both days)
Location:             Willowbrook Mall Parking Lot; entrance off 197 Street  

Donations from this event will support a Canadian Cancer Society one-day cycling event from Kelowna to Delta to raise funds for cancer research.

Fields Tree Service

Dates:                 Saturday January 7 and Sunday January 8
Time:                   9:00am to 3:00pm (both days)
Location:             Derek Doubleday Arboretum - 21200 Block of Fraser Highway

Donations from this event will go to the BC Cancer Foundation.
