Playing Fields & Ball Diamonds

The Township of Langley
co-ordinates bookings for: 

  • 52 ball diamonds & 48 fields
    within Township's parks
    .
  • 10 ball diamonds & 9 fields
    in Langley City's parks
    .
  • 47 ball diamonds & 59 fields
    within the School Board

Sports fields are used throughout all 12 months of the year. Weather conditions, however, may force the closure of fields in order to prevent major damage to the turf and to avoid injuries to players.

Fields are inspected every week from October through March and the field status (either open or closed) is listed on the Field Condition Information Line (604.533.6111) by noon on Friday for scheduled games on Saturday and Sunday.

Field sizes include:
mini, development and senior, soccer, rugby, football and field lacrosse. 

Features
The parks/school sites provide diamonds and fields of varying sizes for different sports and age groups. There are diamonds that are configured for softball, baseball, and slo-pitch use for youths and adults. Fields are available for soccer, football, rugby and lacrosse.

Baseball Diamonds
Ball diamonds are available for scheduled play on evenings and weekends from April 15th to August 15th. For the use of baseball diamonds, teams must submit their requests to Parks Operations by January 31st.

Soccer Fields
Soccer fields are available primarily from September 1st to March 31st for weekend games, with lighted all weather fields for evening practice. Requests for soccer, rugby, football and lacrosse fields need to be received by June 30.
