Development Planning handles on-going development activities and services in response to land development proposals in the Township. The department ensures all proposed development conforms to the various adopted community plans, regulatory bylaws, and associated municipal policies. Activities are focused on processing and analyzing development proposals such as:

• Subdivision
• ALR exclusion, subdivision, and homesite severance
• Development Variance Permit
• Plan Amendment Permit
• Development Agreements
• Heritage Alteration Permit
• Heritage Revitalization Permit
• Liquor Primary

The Development Planning Department arranges public hearings and provides recommendations to Council on a variety of development applications.
