Manufactured Home Park Redevelopment Policy

Manufactured Home ParkManufactured homes offer an affordable housing choice to many residents in the community.

Redevelopment of manufactured home parks (either as strata conversion or as zoning change to another land use or housing form) may require relocation of residents. Relocated residents often face economic vulnerability and loss of social network.

In 2015, the Township of Langley revised the Manufactured Home Park Redevelopment Policy by adding provisions for better communication between owners and tenants, as well as greater notification and relocation assistance from development proponents than is currently required by the BC Manufactured Park Home Tenancy Act.
