  • Oversee patron conduct during Public Skate or Public Swim to ensure safety.
  • Maintain ticket and cash control.

  • Emergency First Aid (minimum)
  • CPR certification
  • Grade 10 Completion
  • Related experience in an arena or aquatic environment.
  • Ability to skate or swim proficiently

  • Monitor participants of drop-in programs or special events.
  • Supervise non-instructional activities.
  • Participate in program activities.
  • Provide information to the public regarding programs/facilities.
  • Ensure patrons are acting appropriately in a recreation facility (may include monitoring equipment usage).
  • Emergency First Aid (minimum)
  • CPR certification
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence (some positions)  
  • Grade 10 Completion
  • HIGH FIVE Training 
  • Sports Coaching or Early Childhood Education Certification
  • Experience working with the public, preferably in a recreational environment

  • Ensure equipment is used safely.

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence  
  • Grade 10 Completion
  • HIGH FIVE Training 
  • Sports Coaching or Early Childhood Education Certification
  • Experience working with the public, preferably in a recreational environment
  • Related volunteer or instructional experience in a recreational environment
  • Have some knowledge of community recreation principles, practices, and objectives
