- The new parking lot is now open to park users along 82 Avenue.
June 2024
- Parking lot construction is underway and will bring more parking spaces to help additional community members enjoy this park space.
Background
The population of the Willoughby Community, and the Yorkson area in particular, continues to grow and these upgrades and additions will provide the amenities to meet the needs and demands of the numerous sports clubs, groups and individuals who use the park.
“Completing Yorkson Community Park is long overdue, and I am pleased that Council is moving forward with the entire upgrade in one project rather than continuing to phase it, said Mayor Eric Woodward. Our residents deserve high-quality amenities, and these investments save money in the long-term and ensure the community has a completed park sooner.”
