209A Street Traffic Calming between 83 and 84 Avenue
Overview
The Township of Langley wants to hear from people living on 209A Street between 83 and 84 Avenue. Property owners can submit an online ballot, below to let the Township know whether they support the installation of traffic calming measures being considered for this block.
The Township will only accept one vote per address. Ballots must be received by no later than end of day, September 1, 2025. The Township will tabulate the responses and if a minimum of 60% of the ballots received support traffic calming, the project will proceed to design and construction, subject to available funding.
The completion of new developments on 83 Avenue has raised resident concerns about traffic volumes on 209A Street.
As outlined in the letter you have received, the Township is undertaking a ballot of the neighbourhood to gauge the level of community support for the following traffic calming measures:
- Installation of three (3) speed humps along 209A Street
- Replacing the delineators at the temporary road narrowing at 84 Avenue and 209A Street with a permanent installation using concrete curb and gutter
If you have a question, please contact the Engineering Division at enginfo@tol.ca, or 604-533-6006.
Thank you for choosing to participate in this ballot to cast your vote on whether to implement the above traffic calming measures.
The ballot closed on September 1, 2025.
