BC Seniors Week

Join the Township of Langley in celebrating seniors in our community during BC Seniors Week, June 5 to 11, 2023. Older adults, 50 years or older, can get active with a variety of activities.
Senior week activities
Weight Room Orientation
This free, introductory weight room orientation introduces new users to the fitness centre and features an overview of weight room procedures, rules, and equipment usage. Registration required. Cost: free with an Active Pass or drop-in admission.
Stay Active - Volunteer
Stay active by getting involved in the community where you live. Join us for a volunteer orientation session to find out what’s happening at your local community and recreation centre. Learn about volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, and take a facility tour. Drop-in activity; no registration required. Cost: free.
Water Walking
Learn about walking in water and get a great workout that is gentle on your bones and joints. Registration required. Cost: free with an Active Pass or drop-in admission.
Fit For Life
Utilize weights and stretching to enhance cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength in this low-impact class while having fun and socializing in a supportive environment. Instructor will modify classes to provide optional exercises for all levels. Registration required. Cost: free with an Active Pass or drop-in admission.
Older Adult Pickleball - learn to play workshop
Try this popular paddle sport that combines table tennis and badminton! Join our 2-hour, learn-to-play pickleball workshop designed for seniors. Our experienced instructors will teach you how to play as well as the rules of the game with lots of game play in a fun and safe environment. All skill levels welcome. Registration required. Cost: $18.80 plus tax.
AquaFit Lite
Enjoy this low impact workout in shallow water. Registration required. Cost: free with an Active Pass or drop-in admission.
