Korean Friendship City Agreement Signing Ceremony

To promote mutual understanding and friendship between citizens, the Township of Langley and the City of Gwangyang, Republic of Korea have established a friendship city relationship.

This relationship will lay the foundation for exchange, cooperation, and shared prosperity that actively promotes exchange and cooperation in areas that can contribute to the development of both cities, including education, economy, culture and the arts, tourism, and other related areas. It will also include close communication, consultation, and cooperation on joint programs and related matters.

The Friendship City Agreement was finalized at a formal signing ceremony at Langley Events Centre on November 4, 2025 with Township Mayor Eric Woodward, City of Gwangyang Mayor Chung In-hwoa, and other key representatives and guests.
