September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Take some time to recognize, reflect, and commemorate the longstanding effects of the residential school system on Indigenous, Inuit, and Métis families and communities. It is a day for redress. It is a day for thoughtfulness and openness to change.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Gathering
Join us on Thursday, September 30 at the Derek Doubleday Arboretum (21559 Fraser Highway) between 1:00 and 7:00pm as we gather to learn, reflect, and honour all residential school survivors and those who did not make it home.
- Come and participate in a story walk, share with and listen to one another, and think about what our next steps will be individually, and as a community, as we move forward together in a good way towards reconciliation.
- We invite all drummers to come for 2:15pm.
- We will also share a few quiet moments, standing together as a community around 7:00pm.
- We will have candles and watch as the lanterns turn on at the site.
