Separate Utility Statements Mailed to Property Owners

Separate flat rate utility statements have been mailed to property owners in the Township of Langley, and cover annual water, sanitary sewer and garbage collection for the 2025 year.
Owners will only receive a statement covering the utility services that are applicable to their property, and it is now separate from their property tax statement. Property tax statements will be mailed in late May as usual and will not include utility fees.
Owners are not having to pay more as a result of the statements being separated.
Separating the utility and property tax statements allows for more flexibility with payment options and timing for property owners, and aligns with the billing model used by many other municipalities in the Metro Vancouver region.
This year, during the separate billing transition, the utility statement payment due date is Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
In future years, flat rate utility statement payments will be due in the spring. Instead of having to pay a larger combined bill, this will allow property owners the flexibility to budget for each smaller statement.
Owners are responsible for ensuring payment is received by the Township by the due date to avoid a late payment penalty. If a utility statement is not received by mid-April, contact the Revenue and Tax Collections Department at tax@tol.ca or 604-533-6005.
