Township separates billing of utility fees and property taxes

Starting in 2025, the Township of Langley will separate the billing of utility fees and property taxes.

Property owners will receive a separate utility statement for annual water, sanitary sewer and garbage collection this spring. Owners will only receive a statement for the utility services that are applicable to their property.

This change allows for more flexibility and clarity with billing as the Township continues to grow and is consistent with the billing model used by many other municipalities in the Metro Vancouver region.

The utility rates and payment due date are not yet finalized. As updates become available, they will be posted on the Township website and communicated through the Township’s social media channels and eNewsletter.

After the rates are finalized, utility statements will be mailed to property owners. Property tax statements will be mailed in late May as usual.
