These are the current non-emergency traffic, trail, utility, and park impacts throughout the Township of Langley.

All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled or extended as required. To stay up to date on the latest impacts, please check this page regularly and follow @langleytownship on X (Twitter).


Monday, July 7 to Sunday, July 13, 2025

Traffic impact: Highway 1 - 264 Street Interchange Project, July 8 to 22

As part of the Highway 1 – 264th Street Interchange Project, BC Hydro will be relocating overhead power lines across Highway 1 between 248 Street and Lefeuvre Road. This work will require intermittent overnight slow roll closures in both directions of Highway 1. Please note that eastbound and westbound lanes will not be impacted simultaneously.

The slow roll closures will begin July 8, and take place on weeknights only between 11:00pm and 4:30am until MJuly 22. Each slow roll closure may last up to 20 minutes, with a total of four (4) slow roll closures anticipated throughout the duration of this work. Traffic queues will be monitored in real time to manage flow and minimize delays.

Traffic and pedestrian impact: St. Andrews Avenue between Glover Road and Nash Street, July 7 to September 1
Construction work on St. Andrews Avenue between Glover Road and Nash Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm, from July 7 to September 1. Traffic control personnel will be on site, and delays may be experienced. Due to this work, the sidewalk will also be closed from July 7 to August 22, and pedestrians will need to detour through the cemetery pathway located on the north side of the cemetery. Access to the Fort Langley Cemetery will remain available.

Traffic impact: Golden Ears Bridge 201 Street on-ramp, July 8 to 10
Update July 8:
Hours of work has been extended so work will occur both during the daytime and overnight. New closure hours are 6am to 3pm and 9pm to 6am.
Maintenance work northbound on the 201 Street on-ramp to the Golden Ears Bridge will reduce traffic to one lane from 7am to 3pm on July 8 to 10. Signage will be in place to inform and direct drivers. Delays may be experienced.

Traffic Impact: 216 Street between 47A Avenue and 48 Avenue, July 9 to 11
Maintenance work on 216 Street between 47A Avenue and 48 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm on July 9 to 11. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Road closure: Old Yale Road between 215 Street and 216 Street, July 2 to August 29
Old Yale Road between 215 Street and 216 Street is scheduled to close to traffic from July 2 to August 29 during the following times: Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm and Saturday, 9am to 5pm. A detour route will be in effect and indicated by signage. 

Traffic impact: 88 Avenue and 252 Street intersection, Extended to August 8
Road widening and intersection improvement work at the intersection of 252 Street and 88 Avenue (which turns into River Road) will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 8pm, has been extended to August 8. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 56 Avenue between 239 Street and 240 Street, June 30 to July 11
Utility work on 56 Avenue between 239 Street and 240 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm on June 30 to July 11. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 204 Street and 80 Avenue, Extended to July 18
Utility work on 204 Street and 80 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and has been extended to July 18. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 72 Avenue between 202A Street and 205 Street, June 27 to August 29
Widening work on 72 Avenue between 202A Street and 205 Street and 204 Street between 71B Avenue and 72 Avenue, will result in single lane alternating traffic from July 10 to August 29, on the following days and times: Monday to Friday 9am to 2:30pm (on July 17 work will be done 9am to 5pm) and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 80 Avenue between 204 Street and 212 Street, June 23 to January 31
Utility work on 80 Avenue between 204 Street and 212 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm on June 23 to January 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 204 Street and 80 Avenue, June 16 to July 27
Utility work on 204 Street and 80 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, on June 16 to July 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between 32 Avenue and Fraser Highway, June 9 to July 31
Utility work on 272 Street between 32 Avenue and Fraser Highway will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday on June 9 to July 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.


 Traffic Impacts - June 2025

Monday, June 30 to Sunday, July 6, 2025

Road closure: Old Yale Road between 215 Street and 216 Street, July 2 to August 29
Old Yale Road between 215 Street and 216 Street is scheduled to close to traffic from July 2 to August 29 during the following times: Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm and Saturday, 9am to 5pm. A detour route will be in effect and indicated by signage. 

Traffic impact: 88 Avenue and 252 Street intersection, Extended to August 8
Road widening and intersection improvement work at the intersection of 252 Street and 88 Avenue (which turns into River Road) will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 8pm, has been extended to August 8. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Maintenance work on 202B Street between 68 Avenue and 72 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 8pm on July 2 to 4. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 56 Avenue between 239 Street and 240 Street, June 30 to July 11
Utility work on 56 Avenue between 239 Street and 240 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm on June 30 to July 11. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 204 Street and 80 Avenue, Extended to July 18
Utility work on 204 Street and 80 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and has been extended to July 18. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 72 Avenue between 202A Street and 205 Street, June 27 to August 29

Utility work on 204 Street and 80 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, on June 16 to July 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Monday, June 23 to Sunday, June 29, 2025

Special event road closure: 86 Avenue between 196 Street and 200 Street, June 28.
The Langley Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival) event will close 86 Avenue between 196 Street and 200 Street from 9am to 3pm on June 28. A detour will be in effect. Delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 72 Avenue between 202A Street and 205 Street, June 27 to August 29
Widening work on 72 Avenue between 202A Street and 205 Street and 204 Street between 71B Avenue and 72 Avenue, will result in single lane alternating traffic from July 10 to August 29, on the following days and times: Monday to Friday 9am to 2:30pm (on July 17 work will be done 9am to 5pm) and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Trail closure: Carvolth Pond Trail, June 26, 2025.
The Ministry of Transportation is closing a portion of Carvolth Pond Trail for the day of June 26, 2025, for tree removals. The trail portion along 202 St will remain open, only the loop is closed. See this map.

Traffic impact: 80 Avenue between 204 Street and 212 Street, June 23 to January 31
Utility work on 80 Avenue between 204 Street and 212 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm on June 23 to January 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 204 Street and 80 Avenue, June 16 to July 27
Utility work on 204 Street and 80 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, on June 16 to July 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 208 Street between Rees Lake Road and 28 Avenue, June 16 to 27
Utility work on 208 Street between Rees Lake Road and 28 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm on June 16 to 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between 29 Avenue and 30 Avenue, June 16 to 27
Utility work on 272 Street between 29 Avenue and 30 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm on June 16 to 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between 32 Avenue and Fraser Highway, June 9 to July 31
Utility work on 272 Street between 32 Avenue and Fraser Highway will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday on June 9 to July 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.


Monday, June 16 to Sunday, June 22, 2025

Traffic impact: 204 Street and 80 Avenue, June 16 to July 27
Utility work on 204 Street and 80 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, on June 16 to July 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 208 Street between Rees Lake Road and 28 Avenue, June 16 to 27
Utility work on 208 Street between Rees Lake Road and 28 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm on June 16 to 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 216 Street between 52 Avenue and 56 Avenue, June 16 to 20
Maintenance work on 216 Street between 52 Avenue and 56 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm on June 16 to 20. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between 29 Avenue and 30 Avenue, June 16 to 27
Utility work on 272 Street between 29 Avenue and 30 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm on June 16 to 27. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic Impact: Glover Road between University Drive and Highway 10, June 12 to 20
Maintenance work on Glover Road between University Drive and Highway 10 will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm on June 12 to 20. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 80 Avenue between 206 Street and 208 Street, June 12 to 20
Maintenance work on 80 Avenue between 206 Street and 208 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday from 9am to 2:30pm on June 12 to 20. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between 32 Avenue and Fraser Highway, June 9 to July 31
Utility work on 272 Street between 32 Avenue and Fraser Highway will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday on June 9 to July 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.


Monday, June 9 to Sunday, June 15, 2025

Traffic impact: Lane closures on 56 Avenue and 264 Street, June 13 to 16
As part of the highway-widening project, lane closures will take place on 56 Avenue and 264 Street on the south side of the 264 Street interchange from 7pm on Friday, June 13 to 5:30am on Monday, June 16. Traffic will merge to single lanes and use single-lane-alternating-traffic patterns at times. The lane closures are needed for the continued construction of the 264 Street interchange to advance the widening of Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley. Access to local businesses will not be affected by the work. To avoid anticipated heavy congestion and travel delays, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes during the closure window and are reminded to obey all signage and posted speed limits.If you have any questions, please contact the project information line at 1-844-851-4180 or by email at hwy1fv@gov.bc.ca
