Virtual waiting room to enhance recreation registration experience
The Township of Langley will use a virtual waiting room to improve the user experience by reducing the chances of a slow website during registration for recreation programs. The virtual waiting room will be in effect on April 10, 2026, during resident registration for summer day camps and general recreation programs.
The virtual waiting room provides a timed countdown of when you can expect to gain access to the registration process. When registration opens at 12pm, individuals who are in the waiting room are randomly assigned a place in line to enter the system. Those logging in to register after 12pm, will be added to the queue on a first-in, first-out basis.
What to expect on registration day
- Sign in to Recreation Registration between 11:45am and 11:59am. You will automatically be redirected to the virtual waiting room.
- Note: If you log in earlier than 11:45am, you’ll need to refresh your browser page after 11:45am to enter the virtual waiting room.
- Your estimated wait time will be shown on the screen, and you’ll be able to view and sign up for activities when your spot is ready.
- Do not close your browser window. If you close your browser while in the waiting room between 11:45am and 11:59am, your place in line will be lost and you will have to re-enter the virtual waiting room.
- Once it is your turn, you will have 20 minutes to complete your transaction. After 20 minutes, the system will place you back in the queue.
Priority registration for Township residents for summer day camps and general recreation programs opens on Friday, April 10 at 12pm.
