Water main break: 201 Street between 100A Avenue and 102 Avenue, June 9

Updated June 10 at 7:30pm: The repair is completed, road paving is completed, and final clean up is done. The road closure barricades are removed and the road is open for traffic.
Updated June 10 at 3:15pm: Township staff have worked to expose and repair the damaged section of watermain while also ensuring a continued supply of water to the Metro Vancouver Northwest Sewer Treatment plant and the surrounding area. Watermain repairs were completed early Tuesday and roadway repairs started shortly thereafter.
Updated June 10 at 6:32am: Utilities Operations crews have exposed and completed the repairs to the watermain. Water pressure has been fully restored to the area and crews have begun flushing the watermain.
Due to the large area of damaged roadway, 201 Street remains closed to all but local area traffic while the excavation is being back filled and the road is being restored. Those that need to access 102B Avenue should use 208 Street as an alternate route.
Utilities staff are currently at a watermain break on 201 Street between 100A Avenue and 102 Avenue. The damaged watermain has been throttled and crews are working expose and identify the leak location.
Traffic on 201 Street is currently closed from 100A Avenue to 102 Avenue.

- 4475
Properties in the area will experience low to no water pressure while the repairs are taking place.
