Winter Fun in the Township of Langley

If you’re staying close to home this holiday season, there’s free and affordable events and activities for you to enjoy with family and friends right here in the Township of Langley.

Enjoy holiday fun for all ages with a scenic drive-thru experience to view holiday lights at Christmas in Williams Park. On daily until December 19, guests can drive through the magical setting at 238 Street and 68 Avenue from 5:00 to 9:00pm to view the park’s spectacular lights from the comfort of their vehicles. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted to help cover the cost of maintaining the displays.

Visit Fort Langley and learn more about Langley’s past and its future at the Langley Centennial Museum, open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00am – 4:00pm until December 24. See important artifacts in the collection and explore some of the impacts climate change may have on the lower Fraser River watershed at the Museum’s latest exhibit Upstream/Downriver: Walking the stɑl̓əw̓ Watershed. After your museum visit, wander over to the Fort Langley Community Hall to check out the garland of lights wrapped around the 10-metre tall Grand Fir.

Lace up your skates and join us for a themed public skate at a Township arena. Registration opens 72 hours prior to the start of the session. Register online:

Whether it’s a dusting of snow or a dump of snow, kids love to go sledding! The Township has some great spots where you can go sledding:

• Fort Langley National Historic Site (outside the Fort walls)
• Routley Park at 19833 70 Avenue
