Automated Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) technology, also known as Licence Plate recognition, provides automated detection of vehicle licence plates. An ALPR is used by Bylaw Enforcement Officer’s to monitor vehicles that are parked within time restricted zones and have stayed beyond the posted time limit.
