How to Pay
Online
- Log in to your financial institution's online banking system.
- Navigate to add a new payee:
- Search for “Langley” in the add new payee section, e.g. Corp Township Langley (taxes); Langley Township – Taxes.
- Note: Township payee name may vary by institution.
- The 10-digit folio/roll number from the tax statement is the account number. All 10 digits are used to identify your property.
- Make online payment and allow 2 – 3 business days for payments to reach the Township.
- Keep a record of the confirmation number, which should include the timestamp and date.
- Claim home owner grant separately, if eligible.
Credit Card
Credit card payments are now accepted, with a 2.2% non-refundable processing fee.
- Pay by credit card online at tol.ca/onlineservices
- Select “Utility Account Payment”
- Enter your account number and access code (found on your utility statement).
At your Canadian bank
- In-person payments can be arranged at your financial institution. Please check branch hours of operation in advance, on their website or by phone.
- Ensure your receipt indicates payment was made to the Township of Langley.
- Payments made to incorrect municipalities will be subject to penalties.
- Retain your receipt; it may be required by the Township for proof of payment.
- Claim home owner grant separately, if eligible.
24 hour drop box
- Located at both entrances of the Civic Facility at 20338 – 65 Avenue.
- Drop off cheque (payable to Township of Langley) and bottom half of your statement in an envelope labelled 'Tax Department.'
- DO NOT put cash in the drop boxes.
- Drop boxes are cleared daily.
Warning: Drop boxes will be cleared at midnight on the property tax due date of Wednesday, July 2, 2025 and payments put in the drop boxes after that time will be subject to the 5% penalty.
Drop boxes will be cleared at midnight on the second property tax due date of Wednesday, September 3, 2025 and payments put in the drop boxes after that will be subject to the additional 5% penalty.
Canada Post
Possible Canada Post strike update: Please do not put cheques in the mail, cheques delayed by the Canada Post strike may be delivered late and will be subject to penalty.
- Mail a cheque (payable to Township of Langley) to 20338 – 65 Avenue, Langley, BC, V2Y 3J1.
- DO NOT mail cash.
- Envelopes must be postmarked by Canada Post no later than Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
Warning:Envelopes lost, stolen, delayed or with a postmark dated after Wednesday, July 2, 2025 and Wednesday, September 3, 2025 by Canada Post will be subject to the penalties.
In person
- Visit the customer service counter on the 2nd floor of the Civic Facility at 20338 – 65 Avenue.
- Regular hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Debit and cash payments only
- Credit card payments are accepted with a 2.2% non-refundable surcharge
Pre-Authorized Debit Plan (PAD)
Plan ahead for 2026 property taxes by joining the Pre-Authorized Debit Plan (PAD):
- Complete the PAD application.
- Email your PAD application and a copy of your voided cheque in PDF format to tax@tol.ca.
- Ensure 2025 property taxes are paid by Wednesday, July 2, 2025 to avoid penalties.
