Recycling

All residential properties within the Township are entitled to receive weekly recycling collection service. As the municipal recycling service receives annual funding through property taxes, there is no additional charge to participate. The program provides recycling containers.

How do I cancel my collection reminder?

E-mail reminders: Please click the “opt-out” or “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of one of your weekly reminder e-mails.
Voice reminders: Please listen to the very end of your reminder and press the digit indicated to cancel your weekly reminder.
App: Disable notifications in your device settings or delete the app.

How do I add my address on the app? The app says it’s not supported in my municipality.

Ensure you are searching and selecting “Township of Langley” when setting up the mobile app.

My collection reminder is coming in too late; how can I change this?

For email notifications: click on “Report a Problem” at the top right of the collection calendar or What Goes Where tool. Then, click on “I’m not getting pick-up reminders,” then “contact us.” Fill out the online form and indicate what time you would like to receive your collection reminder. Recycle Coach will then be able to assist you in changing this setting.
For phone application notifications: click on the Gear icon in the top-right corner to open settings. Click on “collection reminders.” Follow the prompts to change your notification settings.

How do I set up email reminders and notifications about my collection schedule?

Click on “Set Reminder” at the bottom of the Collection Calendar or What Goes Where tool. Follow the prompts to set up the reminder you are looking for.
