Coast Salish Art Unveiling
Time: 1pm
Admission: free
Join q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen) Chief Marilyn Gabriel and Township of Langley Mayor Eric Woodward and Council at Willoughby Community Park to unveil Coast Salish artwork that will be installed in the plaza area this fall. Artists Nəq̓ ɑɬc̓ i (Drew Atkins) and Miməwqθelət (Elinor Atkins) of k’wy’i’y’e (Spring Salmon Studio) will also be in attendance to speak about the artwork that was created in collaboration with artists from local First Nations. This public art project commemorates the Township’s 150th anniversary.
Activities and Sports Day
Location: Willoughby Community Park
Time: 2 – 8pm
Admission: free
Join us for an afternoon of fun-filled sports and activities! Meet local sports groups and discover new ways to stay active by trying out sports like volleyball, tennis, and soccer.
For younger guests there are inflatables, the spray park, and playground.
