Division Overview

The Recreation, Arts and Culture division is responsible for the coordination and management of arts, culture and heritage focused programming and events. Staff support volunteer based and non-profit partner groups in helping facilitate significant and beneficial Township initiatives and projects. The department is also responsible for coordinating efforts with community partners and individual artists on public art coordination.

The department is responsible for the operation of salishan Place by the River, and the coordination of all programs and services imparted with our heritage. In conjunction with the historical element, the department coordinates the visual and performing arts programs and is the municipality's liaison for the cultural relationships indicative to the Township of Langley.

Last, but not least, the department also manages the relationship with the Fraser Valley Regional Library.
