Presented by the Township of Langley and Langley City , the Household Hazardous Waste Plus Collection Event returns Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 at the Township of Langley Operations Centre (4700 – 224 Street).

Township of Langley and Langley City residents are invited to bring household quantities of corrosive, toxic, flammable, or reactive products to this community event for safe disposal and recycling.

Household hazardous waste includes items that are often familiar, everyday products such as cleaning agents, paints and solvents, anti-freeze, lightbulbs, fire extinguishers, and batteries.

While commonly found in our homes, these items require a little extra care when it comes time for disposal.

To help keep our drinking water, waterways, and public spaces safe and clean for everyone, the Township of Langley and Langley City are pleased to offer this simple, drive-up solution for disposing household hazardous waste and other restricted items.

Improper disposal of these types of items can contaminate and harm our environment. While common, these items are not accepted in municipal waste collection and cannot be dumped down drains and sewers, buried, thrown in the garbage, or dumped illegally.

Residents can bring the following items to the event for disposal or recycling:
