Sporting Life Exhibit

A must see! The Langley Centennial Museum presents it’s new exhibition, The Sporting Life: A History of Athletic Fashions with Ivan Sayers. Over 30 mannequins are outfitted with clothing that speaks to over 100 years of activity, from a riding habit from the 1870s, turn of the last century clothing made suitable for cycling, car racing outfits from the 1930s, skiing, fencing, swimming, and even Olympic attire. The story of who wore them is included, and the history of the fashionable times the items represent. The museum has collaborated with Cap’s Bicycle Museum, who loaned vintage bicycles for the exhibit.
