Temporary Road Closures: 56 Avenue and 272 Street, 275 Street and Gloucester Way, 268 Street and Gloucester Way, and east of the 26800 block of Townshipline Road

UPDATE: October 26 4:30am. The incident has been resolved. All roads are now open.

UPDATE: October 25, 3:30pm. 275 Street north/south is now open at 55, 52, 51A, 50A and 48 Avenues.

UPDATE: October 25, 10:30am. Road closures remain in effect, however one business originally identified as inaccessible at 26820 Gloucester Way does have access and is open. The map has been updated to reflect this.

UPDATE: October 25, 6:00am. Emergency crews remain on-scene and road closures remain in effect until further notice. Businesses in this area remain closed.

UPDATE: October 24, 5:00pm. Road closures are anticipated to remain in effect through the overnight hours.

Due to a gas leak in the area, temporary road closures are currently in effect for:

  • 268 Street from Gloucester Way to 56 Avenue
  • 272 Street from 48 Avenue to 56 Avenue
  • 275 Street from 48 Avenue to 56 Avenue
  • Gloucester Way from 268 Street to 275 Street
  • 48 Avenue from 272 Street to 275 Street

The fire department has evacuated affected businesses, and others in the area that have not yet opened will not open as access is not available.
