The Summer Festival Series is returning to the Willoughby Community Park Amphitheatre. The community is invited to come together for free performances every Thursday night in July and August. The festival series features talented musicians who will have audiences moving to the beat all summer long.

It’s no surprise the natural beauty, scenic landscapes, and thriving wildlife habitats found throughout the Township of Langley make a positive impact on residents and visitors alike. Recently, however, a surprising act of gratitude proved even some of the youngest residents notice the effort that goes into making the Township a special, sustainable place to call home.

Let’s come together for Canada Day in a new location, at Aldergrove Athletic Park! The Township of Langley is hosting an in-person event, providing a family-friendly opportunity to reconnect as a community.

Thursday evening, June 16, marked the opening reception of Langley Centennial Museum’s closing exhibit, Beginning’s End: An Artistic and Celebratory Send-Off, which runs until September 30. This final exhibit celebrates the local groups and artists who have exhibited here over the years and the role of the Langley Centennial Museum in our community. Over 130 people were in attendance.

Work is starting on an update to the Willowbrook Community Plan, and the Township of Langley is inviting the community to get involved. You can find out more about the planning process and complete an online survey at tol.ca/wcp. The survey is a chance to share what you think a transit-oriented Willowbrook should be like in the future, and to help identify opportunities that may be created by the Surrey Langley SkyTrain extension.

The Langley Poverty Reduction Task Group, a sub-group of the Langley Healthier Community Partnership, would like to thank the over 800 people who completed the Living Well in Langley: Poverty Reduction Survey in December 2021. With your comments and feedback, we are excited to announce that we have developed a draft strategy that will continue to advance the vision to end poverty in Langley.

The McLeod Athletic Park Stadium will temporarily close to the public on Saturday, June 18 through Tuesday, June 28, to accommodate the Canadian Track and Field Championships. The stadium will reopen Wednesday, June 29 at dawn.

Mark your calendars!  Your favourite Summer Night events are coming back to Otter Co-op Outdoor Experience at Aldergrove Credit Union Community Centre every Thursday starting in July.
