Extreme Rain and Wind Event Updates: November 13 - 22

Last updated November 22, 4:15pm - Due to the heavy rain and wind, a number of parks and roadways in Langley continue to experience flooding, debris, and closures. See the lists below, including park and roadway openings as they are cleared.

For those who may need recovery assistance, Disaster Financial Assistance is a provincial program to help recover from uninsurable disasters.

Detour Maps

Watch for crews, barricades, signs and flashers at most locations. Drivers must follow all signage and detour routes in the event roadways are closed.

For your safety, take extra caution when driving through pooling water even if you feel your vehicle is capable of doing so.

The following park and trail closures remain in place until onsite assessments are completed.

  • Dickie & Fae Trail closed due to trail washouts
  • Irene Pearce Trail closed due to washouts
  • James Hill Park (pathway) closed due to tree failure
  • Trans Canada Trail (102B Ave) closed due to flooding
  • Walnut Grove Tennis Courts closed due to flooding
  • Williams Park (lower portion) closed due to erosion

To report flooding in your area, please call the Engineering Division at 604-532-7300, available weekdays from 8:30am - 4:30pm.To report a service emergency or concern that requires immediate attention outside of regular business hours, call the Engineering operations emergency line at 604-543-6700.
