New Online Registration System

Randeep (admin) Virk – Wed, 22 Jan 2020 22:39:00 GMT

We’re making it easier for you to register for recreation programs and activities in the Township of Langley.

The new online registration system has launched at tol.ca/recregister.

Now open: Spring program and summer camp registration
Registration for winter programs (ending March 29), including spring break camps is only available by phone or in person at any Township community, cultural, or recreation centre.
Birthday, phone number, and mailing address for each family member in your account are required to register for programs and activities in the new system. Please sign in to your account at tol.ca/recregister and check the My Info tab to ensure they are completed and correct.
Some users are experiencing challenges registering for summer day camps. Our team is working to address the issue. Registration is still available for summer camps by phone, or in-person at any Township community, cultural, or recreation centre. Your patience is appreciated as we introduce a new online registration system.

Have questions?

Find answers to frequently asked questions, or watch our instructional videos.

New system highlights

  • Login using your email address, no more pin numbers or barcodes to remember
  • Search for programs using categories including age, location, and keyword
  • Add programs to your personal calendar so you don’t miss a class
  • Register in advance for drop-in programs and classes
  • Navigate efficiently using your phone, tablet, or computer

Important information

All users will need to set up a MyTownship sign-in for their account in the new system. If you have previously registered for a recreation program or activity, please use the same email that we already have on file. MyTownship sign-ins can be created at tol.ca/recregister.

Please note receipts, confirmations, contracts, waitlists, and class updates in the new system will be sent to your email from communication@perfectmind.com.

Winter programs & spring break camps

With the transition to our new system, registration for winter programs and spring break camps will only be by phone or in-person at any community or recreation centre.

For more details on spring break camps visit tol.ca/camps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Account Set Up

How do I set up my account in the new online registration system?
Please create an account sign-in for our new system starting any time after 9:00am on February 25 at tol.ca/recregister. If you have previously registered for a Township recreation program or activity, please use the same email that we already have on file.
Will my account be transferred to the new online registration system?
If you have an active one-month; three-month; or one-year Active Pass, your account will be uploaded to the new system, along with your pass. In addition, clients with registration transactions in the last six months will have their account information uploaded. All users will still need to set up a MyTownship sign-in for their account using the same email that we have on file. MyTownship sign-ins can be created at tol.ca/recregister starting February 25.
Why doesn’t the Township of Langley transfer all accounts to the new system?
All users will need to set up a new MyTownship sign-in upon their first purchase in the new system, or by visiting tol.ca/recregister starting February 25. Currently, there are over 50,000 accounts in our system, with some records carrying outdated information.
Why do I have to supply an email address for a My Township sign-in?
Receipts, confirmations, contracts, waitlists, and class updates are all sent by email in the new system.
Why are we switching?
Our current system is no longer being supported. This new user-friendly system developed by B.C.-based PerfectMind offers enhanced customer service by making it easier for you to register for recreation programs and activities.
Which browser should I use?
We recommend using a modern web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or the new Microsoft Edge for the best experience. Popup blockers need to be disabled for registration.

Registering for Programs and Activities (Starting March 3 at 9:00am)

When does registration open in the new system?
Registration opens for spring programs and summer camps on March 3 at 9:00am at tol.ca/recregister, or in person and by phone at any township community, cultural, or recreation centre.
What should I expect on the first day of registration using the new system (March 3)?
We encourage you to access the new online registration system to complete your registrations at tol.ca/recregister. Our customer service team will be striving to complete in-person and over-the-phone transactions as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience during this time. Phone lines may be busier than usual.

How do I search, or apply filters to find programs in the new system using a mobile device?

If you’re using a mobile device, you can find the search filters in the new system by clicking the small blue icon at the top right (highlighted in yellow in the image). The blue icon is immediately to the right of “Select an Activity”.

How do I register for a program or an activity?
Go to tol.ca/recregister starting March 3 at 9:00am and use the search tools available in the new system to browse and find the programs and activities that you’re interested in. Once you open a program or activity listing, you can click on the register button and follow the on screen instructions to register.
How do I register in advance to save my spot for a drop-in class?
Drop-in classes will open for online registration 23 hours before class time. This allows clients to reserve a spot for popular classes such as Cycle and Zumba. Simply sign in to the online system, find the class, and complete your registration to reserve your spot. You will still need to check-in at the front desk on arrival.
The course I want says “Waitlist” instead of “Register”.
Many programs and activities have a maximum capacity, which means they may be full. If you add yourself to the waitlist online, we can notify you if a spot becomes available.
I have waitlisted for a class; how will I know when it becomes available?
When a spot becomes available, you will be notified using either the phone or email on file in your account. Once you receive confirmation that a spot is available, you must confirm your spot within 24 hours.

How will I receive transaction receipts in the new system?

Receipts, confirmations, contracts, waitlists, and class updates will be sent to your email from communication@perfectmind.com.
How do I register someone who is not the listed age for a class or program?
We follow industry standards when setting ages for most of our courses. All participants must have a birthday in the system to be recognized within the required age range. You can update your account in the system to add a birthday if you don’t have one previously entered. If you or your child is not in that age group, please contact a Recreation Programmer in person at the community, cultural, or recreation centre where the program is located for permission to register.

How do I withdraw from a course?

Please contact any of our community, cultural, or recreation centres, either by phone, or in person to withdraw from a course.

How do I transfer to another course?

Please contact any of our community, cultural, or recreation centres, either by phone, or in-person to transfer to another course.
Can I still register in person or by phone?
Yes. You can register in person or by phone, however we encourage clients to use our online registration system for speed and efficiency at tol.ca/recregister starting March 3 at 9:00am. Registration for winter programs and spring break camps before March 30 is only available in person and by phone at any of our community, cultural, or recreation centres.
Is it safe to register online?
Yes. The Township of Langley follows industry standards in protecting your personal information in the system.
Do I need a credit card to register for a class or program online?
You have two options to pay when registering online; you may use a credit card, or you may purchase an account credit in person at any Township community, cultural, or recreation centre and use that credit to complete an online registration.
