Personal Training

Whether you are new to fitness or looking for a challenge, our Certified Personal Trainers will work with you to understand your needs and develop the right program to achieve your goals.

  • Fee: $99.00 (1.5 hours)
  • Functional movement assessment, goal setting and program design
  • 1 Personal training session
  • 1-hour sessions with a certified Personal Trainer.
  • Pricing is per person.
  • Personal Training is available for ages 13+
  • New client’s 1st session will be for assessment purposes.

Personal Training FAQs

Each personal training session is 1-hour long.
Our trainers come from a variety of backgrounds and are either registered with the BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), CanFitPro, American Council of Exercise (ACE), or BC Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). Township trainers offer a range of experience which can include working with older adults, or Osteofit, Pre/Post natal, Pilates and Yoga certification. All trainers are required to maintain their certification by taking courses, workshops, and/or attending conferences.
No, your admittance to the weight room is included on the day of your sessions. If you wish to use the weight room or attend classes between your Personal Training sessions you can pay drop-in, or purchase a pass.
No, currently sessions do not expire. Although we recommend using them within six months to ensure the best experience.
Yes, however, if you are new to Township of Langley personal training, the first session will be used for assessment purposes. If you are already working with a personal trainer, the session will be used as requested by client or personal trainer.
Upon receiving your personal training forms a staff member will contact you to book an appointment within 1-2 business days.
Yes, we offer 2-1, 3-1, and 4-1 client to trainer sessions.
If a client is new to Township of Langley personal training, the trainer will need to conduct an assessment to understand the limitations and strengths of the client. The first session of each personal training package (Intro, 1, 3, 5, 10 sessions) is an assessment for new clients. If they are an existing client, then they have already conducted an assessment with a trainer and can continue their sessions.
The trainer will use a series of tests to measure the client’s strengths and limitations. Following the assessment the client will sit down with a trainer to discuss fitness goals and build a fitness plan. Assessments are done to ensure that a personal trainer understands all aspects of the client’s strengths and limitations in order to best help the client reach their health and fitness goals.
Yes, when working with a group it is important to understand the different dynamics within the group, therefore an assessment is also conducted on the first session for all new clients.
No, we do not take clients with active ICBC or WCB claims.

Weight Room Orientation - Included with Admission (30 minutes)

Our free orientation for up to two people includes an overview of weight room procedures, rules, and equipment usage. Book a Weight Room Orientation session at the front desk at any of our fitness centres.
