Located in the heart of Walnut Grove Community Centre, our preschool benefits from easy access to a wonderful playground, playing fields, gymnasium, and multipurpose rooms with appropriate play equipment.  If your little one has an artistic flair, they’ll love our enhanced art projects and opportunities to explore unique creative activities.  Our families tell us they love being welcomed here at Curiosity Grove, and we invite you to come and discover all that we have to offer in our community-based program.

Meet the Teachers

Miss CorinneMs. Corinne

I have been teaching preschool for the past nine years, with six of those years being at Curiosity Grove.  Originally an elementary school teacher, when I had my own kids I made the switch to preschool and haven’t looked back.  I love working with this age group and enjoy finding creative ways to explore our monthly themes and make school a fun place to be!  Where else can you go to work and have a gingerbread man jump off the pan and hide somewhere in the school?

In addition to arranging the visits of mythical creatures, I love to engage students with puppets, active circle time activities, and unique sensory table explorations.  As an artist myself, I also like to encourage children to develop their artistic and creative abilities.

Miss JenniferMs. Jennifer

I have been working in the Early Childhood Education field since 2005 and I received my diploma in Early Childhood Education from Langara College.

Over the years I have worked in various preschools, after-school care programs, summer camps, and schools. These experiences have allowed me to build many wonderful relationships with so many families that I cherish to this day.

My philosophy in teaching children is that they all unique and have different interests, and that as a facilitator of their learning I must respect that.  I believe that children should have some control over their learning and that as a teacher I can guide them.  The excitement children have when they're discovering something new is something I love, as well as documenting children's stories and presenting them to both the children and their parents.

Miss LeanneMs. Leanne

I have over 25 years of experience working with children in preschool and special needs programs. As a Township of Langley employee for many years, I have loved to see how programs in our community help to foster social development in young youth.  In addition to preschool I teach recreation programs such as, “Ready, Set, Preschool”, "Toddler Play", and "Baby Play".  These programs are an important fun step in early learning development.  In my spare time I am an artist and art teacher, and am a published author of a children’s book.
