Community Input Group Task Force

The Township of Langley is seeking volunteers to participate on the Community Input Group Task Force (CIGTF).  The purpose of the Community Input Group Task Force is to consult with Township of Langley residents and stakeholders to identify common concerns and priorities that the Township of Langley Council members may include as important and significant components in future budget and resource planning. 

CIGTF members will be required to attend 3 monthly meetings on weekday evenings throughout the process (approximately April 2018 – July 2018). Dates to be determined. 

To represent a broad range of interests, membership for this volunteer CIGTF will consist of 9 members of Council, 15 community members, 1 member from the Langley Environmental Partners Society, and 1 chairperson.

Required are:

  • 1 representative from each of Langley’s communities:
    • Aldergrove
    • Brookswood-Fernridge
    • Fort Langley
    • Murrayville
    • Rural Area
    • Walnut Grove
    • Willoughby-Willowbrook
  • 1 representative from the business community, business association, or business improvement association from each of Langley’s communities:
    • Aldergrove
    • Brookswood-Fernridge
    • Fort Langley
    • Murrayville
    • Walnut Grove
    • Willoughby-Willowbrook
  • 1 representative from the agricultural community
  • 1 representative from the recreation and culture community

Applications from interested persons will be forwarded to Township Council for review and selection.
