Public Safety and Community Risk Program
Thank you for your interest in booking a Public Safety and Community Risk Program or for the Fire Department to attend your community event. We are not currently taking any bookings for programs or community events. Once bookings re-open, information will be posted on this page and on Township of Langley social media or our Fire Department Twitter.
Fire prevention
Public Safety and Community Risk Officers, with the cooperation of property owners, engineers, architects, as well as in conjunction with the Township’s Building and Planning Departments, work diligently to correct hazards and increase fire safety awareness through a process of inspections, the development/permit approval process, plan reviews and enforcement.
Public education
Our Public Safety and Community Risk Officers also provide educational services predominantly focused on fire prevention and life safety to reduce and prevent fires from occurring. This is accomplished through in-person fire and life safety programs and via the tol.ca website, social media, bus shelter ads, emails and other digital formats.
