Fitness Jobs

• Assist in planning, developing and scheduling specific fitness programs and services.
• Direct the implementation of fitness programs.
• Provide leadership and instruction.
• Assess programs and recommend changes.  
• Assign and supervise auxiliary staff.
• Provide orientation and training.
• Participate in staff selection and evaluation. 

• Emergency First Aid
• CPR certification
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence

• Grade 12 Completion
• Completion of a two-year Recreation program at a recognized Community College
• Fitness Certifications
• Related community recreation experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Auxiliary employees - A

Regular part-time employees - RPT

• Provide leadership and instruction for a variety of fitness programs to participants of all ages.
• Supervise customers.
• Provide fitness centre orientations.  
• Assist in program development for health and fitness.
• Provide information and advice to the public regarding fitness programs and facilities.

• First Aid
• CPR certification
• BCRPA Weight Trainer – Fitness (or equivalent)

• Grade 12 Completion
• Courses in community recreation, leadership and/or conflict resolution
• Related instructional experience in a fitness environment
