Agricultural inventory study
Background
The Township of Langley has contracted MNP, a Canadian business advisory firm, to conduct an agricultural inventory and sector capacity review of the Township’s agriculture and equine sector.
Recent events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating 2021 floods in the Fraser Valley have amplified how critical agribusinesses of all shapes and sizes are to our food system and supply chain.
The study's primary purpose is to collaborate with business and sector stakeholders to identify the agriculture and equine sector's true inventory, capacity, and activities in our community. It is focused on gaining an understanding of all the products and services that Township-based agribusinesses provide. To gather information needed, we invited all agricultural and equine businesses – big & small – within the Township to take a survey. All data collected will be treated as confidential and will be presented in summary format only.
The online survey is now closed.
