86 Avenue Improvements

Overview

Township of Langley Council has approved funding for improvements to 86 Avenue from 200 Street to 202B Street. The project includes road widening, watermain installation, culvert extension, raised medians, extruded bike curbs, shared multi-use-pathways, boulevard landscaping, street lighting and new signalized intersections with left turn bays.

Updates

February 2026

• Excavation, tree removals, and the extension of an existing culvert have been completed.
• Current construction includes completion of sanitary and storm connections, dry watermain, curb and gutter, and BC Hydro and Telus conduit installation and pole removals
• Upcoming work will include road subbase, base asphalt, streetlights, and sidewalk preparation.
