Home Heating and Cooling Survey results |
The Home Heating and Cooling Survey was open for three weeks in January 2023 with 382 residents and 36 HVAC professionals participating. The Township engaged a Ph.D. student through the UBC Sustainability Scholars program from October 2022 to March 2023 to lead survey creation and report on the results. Read the Summary Report. CleanBC Energy Coach |
The Energy Coach is a free coaching service for homeowners in British Columbia. Energy Coaches provide building-science based information about the options and opportunities to improve the energy efficiency of your home or building. They are available to answer your questions at all stages of your energy improvement project. Energy Coach services are available for homeowners and commercial building owners or managers.

Empower Me Program |

Information for strata residents |
Installing a heat pump as a strata building resident involves a few more steps than for non-strata homes. Luckily, resources exist that explain how to successfully install a heat pump as a strata building resident. The City of Vancouver has made this handy guide publicly available (Heat Pump Retrofit Guide: For Strata and Co-op Buildings) that provides advice for residents of strata and co-op buildings interested in upgrading their current heating system to an air source heat pump system.
