
Call for 2026 Council Advisory Committee Applications
Get involved in your community! Township of Langley is seeking volunteers for its 2026 Council Advisory Committees to provide input on important issues and make a positive contribution to our diverse and growing municipality.
Agricultural Advisory Committee
Provide advice on public policies and priorities to advance the Township of Langley Sustainability Charter, specifically to strengthen the agricultural economy; recognize the rural character as an essential community feature; protect views, characteristic landscapes, and rural roads; and preserve the agricultural land base for food production.
- Two-year term positions available for applicants with farming or agritourism experience.
- One youth position from the Langley Learning Farm or Young Agrarians Program available.
Heritage Advisory Committee
Support the stewardship activities of planning, documenting, protecting, preserving, enhancing, recognizing, and interpreting Langley’s natural, built, and cultural heritage resources and services.
- Two-year term positions available.
Recreation, Culture, and Parks Advisory Committee
Focus on public leisure services to best meet the needs of Township residents.

Seniors Advisory Committee
Represent Township seniors’ perspectives on municipal and other key seniors’ issues including transportation, affordability, parks, cultural, and recreation services, and geographical service delivery.

One-year and two-year term positions available.

One youth position available (age 16-24).

Applicants will be notified in early December after Council has completed the selection process.
