Christmas Tradition Continues in Williams Park

On any given day, Williams Park is a gorgeous natural oasis full of forests, creeks, and trails.
But at Christmastime, it becomes something truly magical.
For close to three decades, Christmas in Williams Park has welcomed the holiday season to the Township of Langley by transforming the park into a winter wonderland full of lights, decorations, and cut-outs.
The much-loved event returns this year when the 27th annual celebration takes place from Friday, December 1 to Friday, December 15. Each night between 5:30 and 9:00pm, visitors are invited to drive through the park at 238 Street and 68 Avenue to experience the illuminated holiday spectacle from the comfort of their own vehicles. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted to help cover the cost of maintaining the displays.
Christmas in Williams Park was first held in 1991 and continues to enthrall visitors, thanks to the efforts of the Christmas in Williams Park Organizing Committee, the Christmas in Williams Park Society, and community volunteers, who team up with the Township of Langley to present the event. Local service clubs and businesses also greatly contribute to the event’s continued success through sponsorships and donations.
