Council approves discount programs at Redwoods Golf Course

Council has approved two new discount programs for residents and businesses to enjoy the Redwoods Golf Course and Driving Range. This follows a Township announcement in February 2024 about the early completion on the purchase of the Redwoods Golf Course located in the Walnut Grove community of the Township.

“This is another example of how we are improving affordability and accessibility to Township facilities and amenities, and we continue to look for other adjustments and reductions where we can,” said Township Mayor Eric Woodward.

Redwoods Golf Course will reopen later this spring with more details on the start-up of the discount programs provided at that time.

Resident Discount Program

Benefits of the Resident Program include:

• 15-day advance tee time booking (compared to the general public of 10 days).
• $10.00 off the program holder’s green fee rates each tee time in 2024.
• $2.00 off each bucket of range balls (must be purchased in the golf shop).

Implementation

• Residents can visit the Golf Shop to register for the Program at a fee of $20.00 per year.
• Applies only to Township of Langley residents (owners or renters, proof of address required). Program benefits are non-transferable.
• Good for each calendar year, therefore the current Program will expire December 31, 2024. Upon successful evaluation of the Program, the next cycle would be January to December of 2025.
• Resident would be registered in the Redwoods booking system as a Program participant, which will allow them to book tee-times online, by phone, or in-person.
• Discounts are applicable for the Program individual only, and not any of their guests or playing partners (unless also Program participants).
• All ages would also be eligible for the Program, including Junior members.
• Not applicable with tournament bookings or any other offers.

Business Discount Program

Benefits of the Business Discount Program include:

• 15-day advance tee time booking (compared to the general public of 10 days).
• $10.00 off the individual green fee rates, when booked as a group.

Implementation

• A business must choose one representative that will deal with all aspects of the Program for the business. The representative will visit the Golf Shop to register their business.
• Applies only to Township of Langley located businesses (copy of business license required).
• Discounts are applicable for tee times booked as a group by the business representative only, and must be for a minimum of 8 players in 2 consecutive tee times (to a maximum of 20 players in 5 consecutive tee times).
• Not applicable with tournament bookings or any other offers.
