In recognition and respect for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, all Canadian, BC and municipal flags at Township facilities and parks will remain at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Friday, December 6.
Marked annually across Canada since the murder of 14 young women at Polytechnique Montreal on December 6, 1989, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is an opportunity to mourn their loss, remember their lives, and reaffirm our commitment to fight gender-based violence and discrimination.
