Fort Langley Community Park Spray Pad Virtual Open House

This project is on hold until Council revisits it at an open Council meeting.
Fort Langley Community Park will receive a new spray pad with unique age-friendly play features. The sixty-year-old Fort Langley Outdoor Pool has recurring operational and maintenance problems, such as lack of universal accessibility, non-compliance with current health codes, and antiquated systems to sanitize water safely for users.
While the pool will no longer be operational, the location will be transformed into a new spray pad for people of all ages. The Township of Langley appreciates your feedback and ideas in what features and themes may be added to the project. The survey is now closed.
Background Information

Your suggestions are important to ensure the spray pad design fits the community's needs. Below are photos of the swimming pool in its current state. With this project, the pool will be filled and transformed into a new spray pad. While the change rooms will remain, the existing concrete deck and chain-link fence will be removed, and a new fence or barrier will be installed to prevent children from entering the parking lot.

Example Spray Pads | ||||||||||||
To provide you with an idea of what the new spray pad could look like, below are three examples of recent spray pad installations in the Township. The spray pads at Willoughby Community Park and Murrayville Outdoor Activity Park use a nature theme that includes a variety of animal and plant motifs. The spray pad at Philip Jackman Park uses a combination of nature and nautical themes, as a major part of the spray pad was constructed over an existing outdoor swimming pool.
