Get involved in your community! Township of Langley needs volunteers for Council Advisory Committees to provide input on important issues and contribute to our diverse and growing municipality. Committees advise on critical Council decisions, with positions available on committees with a range of focuses. Volunteer today!
Available Council Advisory Committee appointments for 2024:
- Heritage Advisory Committee (Two-year term positions available) - support the stewardship activities of planning, documenting, protecting, preserving, enhancing, recognizing, and interpreting Langley’s natural, built, and cultural heritage resources and services.
- Recreation, Culture, and Parks Advisory Committee (Two-year term positions available) - focus on public leisure services in Langley and assist the Corporation to deliver services which best meet the needs of Langley citizens.
- Seniors Advisory Committee (Two-year term positions available) - raise awareness of seniors needs for services in terms of outdoor spaces and places, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, civic participation and inclusion, communication and information, and community support and health services in the community.
