Mourning The Passing of Queen Elizabeth

Statement from the Mayor, Jack Froese
It is with heavy hearts that we join the global community in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Flags at Township facilities and parks will fly at half-mast in recognition of her passing.
Since her coronation in 1953, her Majesty has been the longest serving British monarch reigning for over 70 years through many turbulent times, and positively impacting the lives of many people globally, in Canada, and in our region when she visited Fort Langley in 1971.
Her gentle approach to diplomacy, frequent kind words, and cheerful smile are iconic beacons that will be remembered for years to come.
Our thoughts are with the members of the Royal Family, and the many people worldwide feeling her loss.
