Road closure: 208 Street between 77A Avenue and 78B Avenue, May 22

Updated May 23 at 10:00am: Fortis BC has completed their work. The northbound lane remains closed for continued underground utility installation works that is anticipated to be completed by the end of July 2025.
Updated May 22 at 4:06pm: The two southbound lanes and one northbound lane have reopened to traffic. Fortis BC continues to work on 208 Street in the northbound curb lane.
208 Street between 77A Avenue and 78B Avenue is closed in both directions due to a gas service strike. Emergency services and Fortis BC are on-site.
Traffic is being detoured around the road closure and traffic control personnel are on-site.
