The Township-wide Garage Sale Returns!

It’s back! The Township-wide Garage Sale returns to your neighbourhood Saturday, May 28 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

What is the Township-wide Garage Sale?

It is a one-day, coordinated event where properties throughout the Township are invited to host an individual garage sale, promoting the reuse of items rather than recycling or disposal.

While recycling is better than sending something to landfill, reusing existing items eliminates the need to invest energy and resources into processing them, reducing the environmental impact associated with an item. By hosting many garage sales on the same day, it can generate interest from even the most casual bargain hunter, further helping keep items out of landfill.

All residents are encouraged to host a garage sale at their home on Saturday, May 28 from 9:00am to 2:00pm and to register their sale on tol.ca/garagesale.

Participating properties will be shown on our interactive map, making it easy for bargain-hunters to find nearby locations. Participating properties who register by Friday, May 13 will also be advertised in the May 26/27 editions of the Langley Advance Times and Aldergrove Star.

Please note, just like a private organized garage sale, hosts will be responsible for making proper arrangements for the donation or disposal of their leftover items. The Township will not be picking up leftover items.
