Township Council Requests Report on Widening 202 and 203 Street

Township Council has directed staff to bring forward a report on a road widening project to complete: (1) 203 Street / 202A Street / 202B Street from 62 Avenue to 80 Avenue; (2) 202 Street from 80 Avenue to 86 Avenue; and (3) 86 Avenue from 200 Street to 202 Street.
“For too long, we have waited until development proceeds and completes to finish our roads. While this works in some areas, it is becoming too much of an issue in Willoughby, where residents face unnecessary delays. It’s why we are widening 208Street, and I’d like Council to consider further action to get ahead of our traffic issues.” – Mayor Eric Woodward
203 Street, 202A Street, 202B Street and 202 Street from 65 Avenue to 86 Avenue represents a needed north-south corridor through Willoughby to connect Willowbrook to the Carvolth Transit Exchange and Walnut Grove.
