Township Fire Department Employees Receive Awards
After dedicating their entire careers to public safety, and protecting and saving lives and property, three Township Fire Department employees have been awarded King Charles III Coronation Medals.
With over 32 years of service each, Township of Langley Fire Chief Jason de Roy, Deputy Fire Chief Russ Jenkins, and Deputy Fire Chief Cory Parker were all awarded medals at a ceremony on February 24 at Fire Hall 6 in Murrayville.
The medals were presented by Langley-Aldergrove Member of Parliament Tako van Popta with Township Mayor Eric Woodward, numerous firefighters, and proud family members in attendance.
The medal commemorates the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and is awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada.
