Traffic Impact: 208 Street and 72 Avenue Intersection Improvements, April 22 to July 5

Night work at the intersection of 208 Street and 72 Avenue will accommodate underground utility installations and roadworks as part of the 208 Street Phase 1 Road Widening Project.

The work is scheduled to start on April 22, 2024, and will take place between 9pm and 6am. The work is anticipated to continue through July 5, however it may be adjusted or extended as required.

Intersection work done during the night will prevent substantial delays for all road users during the busier daytime hours. Some delays are expected, however Certified Traffic Control Persons will direct and maintain all vehicular movements (via single lane alternating traffic) at/through the intersection.

The contractor has indicated they will provide their best efforts to mitigate construction noise and traffic disruptions wherever possible.
