Water main break at 20434 64 Avenue June 3

Updated June 3 at 4:20pm: The watermain has been repaired and flushed, and the road is now open to traffic as normal.

Updated June 3 at 8:15am: The north side of 64 Avenue has been opened to single lane traffic, allowing eastbound and westbound travel. However, the south side of 64 Avenue remains closed from 203 Street to 204 Street.

Utilities staff are investigating a watermain break at 20434 64 Avenue. The damaged watermain has been throttled and crews are working to expose the break location to determine repairs.

Traffic on 64 Avenue is currently closed from 203 Street to 204 Street due to paving work being conducted by a contractor.

The attached map shows the location of the break with the immediate affected properties highlighted in red. These properties, and possibly others in the surrounding area, will experience low to no water pressure while the repairs are taking place.

Additionally, the following hydrants are currently out of service: 3075, 3076, 3077, 3078, 3079.
