Water main break at 214 Street and 50 Avenue, May 16

Updated May 16 at 2:20pm: The water main break has been repaired and crews are cleaning up. Residents impacted by the water main break are encouraged to run cold water taps for 20 minutes.

Utilities crews are currently investigating a watermain break at 214 Street and 50 Avenue. The damaged watermain has been throttled and crews are working to expose the break location to determine repairs.

Traffic control is currently in place, with single-lane alternating traffic.

This map shows the location of the break with the immediate affected properties highlighted in red.  These properties, and possibly others in the surrounding area will experience low to no water pressure while the repairs are taking place.  Staff are notifying those in the immediate affected area.
