Water main break at 271 Street and 32 Avenue, April 22

Updated April 22 at 7:48pm: Crews have repaired the watermain and the road has been opened to traffic in both directions.

Utility crews are repairing a water main break at 271 Street and 32 Avenue. 

As the work progresses and repairs take place, residents in the immediate area will encounter low to no water pressure due to the isolation of the effected portion of watermain. Additionally, some residents in the surrounding area may experience lower than normal water pressure until the repair has been completed.  

Traffic control has been set up on 271 Street with single lane alternating traffic in the south bound lane, while work takes place in the north bound lane. 

Once water service is restored, residents impacted by the water main break are encouraged to run cold water taps for 20 minutes.
